Dr. Lee will lead the effort to produce standard "full color" daily global images from the Mars Color Imager (MARCI). He will plan coordinated observations between MARCI and the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) instrument, and will define and implement observation strategies for studies of Martian surface/atmosphere interactions utilizing both MARCI and CTX observations.
He will be involved in the planning for MARCI/CTX observations to monitor dust storm activity and variable features and will initially be responsible for frequent, routine analysis of the global-monitoring images for evidence of dust storm activity and regional surface albedo variability.
