Funded by the National Science Foundation (EAR-0451802), this project is centered at MIT and Berkeley and its goal is to make advances in high-precision and high-accuracy geochronology based on radiometric dating of Argon and Uranium.
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is providing outreach tools using the R@dius delivery system in a partnership with Denver Public Schools and Denver Public Broadcasting. Other products will include posters, bookmarks, curricula, and a website that explains geochronology to middle school students and provides resources for their teachers. Dr. Johnson sits on the EarthTime steering committee and is working to integrate this project with the Denver Basin Project.
