Dr. Holen is conducting survey work in eastern Colorado to locate Clovis sites and to document Clovis artifacts in private collections. A database of Clovis artifacts from the central Great Plains now includes more than 350 Clovis projectile points and preforms. Test excavation at a new Clovis site is planned for this fall.
