Summer Camps

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science offers fun, exciting and educational week long summer camps on dinosaurs, space science, rocks and much, much more.  Camps are offered the week of June 9th - through August 15th, 2008.  Camps are available for ages 4-5 through 6th grade.  Registration will begin on February 1 for Summer Day Camp, so call 303-322-7009 or 1-800-925-2250 to register. Camp Fees:

Parent/Child Workshops age 3
(1 ½ hour workshop)

Member Pair: $20
Nonmember Pair: $25

Week-long Camps for ages 4-12
(1/2 day Monday-Friday)

Morning Session: 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 1:00-3:30 p.m.
Members: $125
Nonmembers: $150

Week-long Day Camps ages 6-12
(All Day Monday-Friday)
9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Members: $250
Nonmembers: $275

Scholarships:
The Museum is committed to providing stimulating, fun learning experiences to children of all economic backgrounds. Financial assistance is made possible through the Youth Programs Educational Scholarship Fund supported by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, Firman Fund, OppenheimerFunds and Citi Foundation. Partial scholarships are available for families with a documented annual income of $30,000 or less. Call 303-370-8225 for more information.

Early Morning Check-In & Supervised Lunch
Children’s Workshops offer Early Morning Check In and/or Supervised Lunch care options. Sessions will include free time, board games, crafts and outdoor activities (weather permitting) - all in a relaxed, fun atmosphere supervised by Children’s Workshops staff. Registration is only by the week.

Extended hours are:
Early Morning Check-In:
7:30-9:00 a.m. Parents can sign children in at any time during this period.  (Children will not be permitted in the Museum before 7:30 a.m.)
$30 per week, per child

Supervised Lunch: 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Children need to bring a lunch each day. (Children must be registered for both a morning and an afternoon workshop during the same week, in order to participate in Supervised Lunch)  Supervised lunch will not be offered the weeks of June 16-20, July 14-18 and August 4-8 – the day camp participants will eat lunch with their class.
$30 per week, per child

Refund and Exchange Policy:
The Museum has a no refund, no exchange policy. All sales are final for children’s workshops and children’s summer day camps, unless the Museum cancels the event.
